To support the work and enrich the lives of
Latinas in the visual and performing arts

History

Breath of Fire was founded in 2003, due to a lack of representation and opportunities for Latinas/so in the Orange County performing arts community. Based in Santa Ana, Breath of Fire is the only Latina theater company where original, historical, and published work is produced that reflects, impacts, and empowers the Latina/o experience.
