HOLDING SPACE: Through Writing

Breath of Fire Ensemble and with its ongoing steps is reevaluating the ways in which we’ve been complicit in white supremacy and finding ways to take brave action. We discussed and are still discussing how we can be active in our solidarity with Black Lives Matter and also in our Orange County, Ca Community.   One way is to hold space. Holding Space for those who need it through writing. A process we’ve practiced and believe in. A hope, a desire that through writing: we can be empowered, listen, support and amplify voices that are and have been underrepresented.
