ATTN #Playwrights! This is a #TheatreAction Submission opp!
The death toll from the virus is staggering. But each data point is an individual. Breath of Fire Latina Theater Ensemble in collaboration with Protest Play Project is putting out another call for writers to honor those who have died:
- Choose the story of someone who died from Covid-19
- Write a 1 page monologue. Lean towards celebrating and memorializing life. The monologue can be said by anyone, and can be left up to your interpretation and style.
The second round, we will collect the stories and have them available for theatre companies to present as a living project. Selected pieces will be performed at Breath Of Fire Latina Theater Ensemble in the spring of 2021 on Zoom and streaming.
Submission March 1, 2021. One submission per writer for the next round.
